THE KOLPING HEI REPRESENTATIVES’ VISIT TO SWITZERLAND

From 1 to 5 April 2025, Kolping HEI employees Vytautas Kirka, Ramunė Bagdonaitė-Stelmokienė, Jurgita Dambrauskienė, and Lina Kalibataitė visited the Plusbildung – the ecumenical network for adult education in Switzerland under the Erasmus+ programme. The visit included training and discussions on effective communication and cooperation between religious denominations and traditions. Participants exchanged ideas and insights on dialogue-based educational methodologies in multicultural and multi-religious European societies. There was also a lively debate on improving education for young people and adults and on strengthening the commitment of different Christian groups to serve their communities, considering how to address social, inequality and environmental issues in cooperation. The methods used to motivate people from different social classes to learn are also explored. The visit also included visiting the Paulus Academy in Zurich and a meeting with the European Federation for Catholic Adult Education representatives to share experiences and discuss cooperation opportunities.
