ADMISSION PROCEDURE

- Please note that Kolping HEI offers undergraduate (bachelor’s level) programmes only. The Social Work Management programme will be offered in English for the 2026 intake.
Complete the Application Form (WORD), sign and scan it, and submit it together with the required documents to [email protected]:
- A copy of passport/ID document. (The passport must be valid for at least two years at the time of application);
- A legalized copy of Certificate/Diploma and a legalized Academic Transcript (Grades). Please check the information for country specific requirements;
- An official document certifying proficiency in English. Minimum required proficiency level is B2. This does not apply for native English language speakers;
- Recent photo (3x4cm.);
- The motivation letter, up to 2 pages, must be an official document containing the applicant’s signature and contact information. The motivation letter must be written entirely by the applicant. The use of generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) for content creation is prohibited and the document will be disregarded.
- .Bank confirmation of the paid non-refundable registration fee of 100 EUR, showing the applicant’s name and the date of payment. Proof of payment is a required part of the application, and applications will not be reviewed without payment of the registration fee.
- Affidavit (legalized) providing one‘s pledge to support the Applicant‘s costs of studies and living during the studies period and return trip home.
- Bank statement (legalized) providing evidence of Applicant’s or sponsor’s financial abilities to provide financial support of the duration of the studies.

Notes:
- All documents have to be either in English or Lithuanian language. Subscription of the Notary for English and Lithuanian translation of all written documents is required.
- Applications missing any of the required documents will not be considered; therefore, applicants may not receive a response. Please ensure that all required documents are submitted.
- Documents should be sent, and responses will be provided only via e-mail at [email protected]. Inquiries sent to other addresses will not receive a response.
- All documents must be scanned from the original documents, be of the highest quality, and have no cut corners. Scans that do not meet these requirements will be disregarded.
- By submitting the documents, the applicant consents to the sharing of their information with other institutions that Kolping HEI may contact for academic verification purposes.
- Evaluation and results
- Applications are evaluated after the application deadline.
- Applicants must have an overall CGPA of at least 55%, with no individual subject mark below 50%.
- English language requirement: IELTS ≥5.5, TOEFL ≥69, CEFR ≥B2.
- After the academic evaluation of the submitted documents, prospective applicants will be invited to an online motivational interview, conducted in a conversational format and lasting 10–15 minutes. The interview will be recorded.
- The Admissions Committee may request additional information to make a final decision. Applicants may also be asked to participate in an additional knowledge assessment.
- Admission is based on competition among the applicants and meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.
- The admission results will be announced individually to the applicant’s e-mail address within 5 working days after the after motivational interview.
- Successful applicants will receive Admission Letter and a Study Agreement.
- Important information
- The signed Study Agreement together with the document confirming the payment of the tuition fee for the first year of study must be submitted within 5 (five) working days in response to the received admission letter.
- Annual tuition fee for the academic year 2026-2027 is 3000 EUR for all study programmes.
- If an invited applicant fails to pay the first-year tuition fee by the specified deadline, the invitation to study at Kolping HEI will be considered void.
- If an applicant to study does not arrive by September 30, the tuition fee paid for the first year of studies will not be refunded, except in cases where the foreign national is not granted a Temporary Residence Permit of the Republic of Lithuania.
- Admitted students are responsible for all the necessary documents for the trip (passport, insurance and travel expenses) which are not included in tuition the fee and can proceed further with arranging arrival (visas, flights, accommodation).
- Kolping HEI does not provide accommodation for students. Admitted students are responsible for arranging their own accommodation and declaring place of residence to the Migration Department. If a student does not arrive to begin studies by September 30 due to failure to secure accommodation, the tuition fee paid is non-refundable.
- Temporary Residence Permit
- Admitted students must apply for a Temporary Residence Permit (TRP), which is issued for two years and can be extended afterwards.
- Applications for a Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) should be submitted electronically through the Lithuanian Migration Information System (MIGRIS – http://www.migracija.lt/).
- All non-EU/EEA applicants must have valid health insurance for the entire period of their Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) or for temporary residence permit validity. The insurance coverage must be at least 10,000 EUR and must cover emergency medical care, repatriation, and be valid in Lithuania (and usually the Schengen area). Student can buy European insurance online from websites like Gjensidige, Ergo, or BTA.
- At the time of application for a Temporary Residence Permit, the required amount of means of subsistence shall comply with the minimum monthly amount established by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania. In 2026, the required funds to cover living expenses in Lithuania amount to EUR 577 per month, and EUR 1,150 is required for return travel, totaling approximately EUR 8,077 for a 12-month stay. The funds must be available for the entire Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) period or for at least one year.
