INTERNATIONAL STUDENT CONFERENCE “Theory and Practice: Student Insights 2024”

The 13th International Student Conference, “Theory and Practice: Student Insights 2024”, took place on 21 November 2024. The remote conference, organised by the Kolping HEI to celebrate International Students’ Day, attracted 57 presentations on topics ranging from social work to business and more, and more than 100 participants from different cities in Lithuania and abroad.

During the opening of the conference, welcoming remarks were made by Ms Lina Kalibataitė, National Secretary of the Lithuanian Kolping Society, Mr Vytautas Kirka, Director of the Kolping HEI, and Ms Ligita Sudmantaitė, President of the Kolping HEI Students’ Representation. The participants were also welcomed by the moderators, Ms Gabrielė Mažonaitė and Ms Kristina Karosevičienė, who expressed their deep gratitude for the numerous participation.

Speakers worked in six groups based on social work, business, management, and tourism studies. The diversity of the participants, including students from the Kolping HEI, Utena HEI, Panevėžys HEI, St. Ignatius of Loyola College, Klaipėda State HEI, Vytautas Magnus University, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Lithuanian Maritime Academy, Vilnius University, and John Paul II University (Poland), enriched the discussions and added unique perspectives.

We were all delighted by the exciting student presentations and valuable scientific insights. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the group moderators for their excellent work, which was instrumental in the success of the conference. We also thank the Conference participants for their active and engaging participation.
