On 14 March 2024, the Kolping Higher Education Institution (Kolping HEI), the college building its operation on the principles of sustainable development, integral ecology and corporate social responsibility, organised the remote international scientific-practical conference, ‘Challenges and prospects of sustainable development’. The Conference aimed to bring together researchers, scholars and practitioners from different fields to discuss the challenges and prospects of sustainable development, present the research results relevant to the Conference topic, and share insights, experiences and innovative ideas.
Welcoming remarks of Ms Lina Kalibataitė, the National Secretary of the Lithuanian Kolping Society, and Dr Ramunė Bagdonaitė-Stelmokienė, the Director of the Kolping HEI, opened the Conference. The participants were also welcomed by the moderator, Ms Kristina Karosevičienė, a lecturer and the Head of the Centre for Economics and Business at the Kolping HEI, expressing her deep gratitude for the numerous participation.
Indeed, the Conference was attended by over 100 participants. As many as 52 speakers from Lithuania and abroad (Germany, Australia, India) shared their insights and experiences in the plenary session and the three working sections:
