On 12 January 2024, continuing a beautiful and long-standing tradition, the KUAS hosted a breakfast for social partners. Representatives from organisations cooperating closely with the KUAS Social Welfare Centre and Centre for Economics and Business were invited.
The meeting was attended by Ms Sigita Šimkienė (an adviser at the Kaunas Municipality Administration and a coordinator for inter-institutional cooperation), Ms Ilona Veronika Klimantavičienė (Kaunas House of Generations), Ms Monika Janulytė-Lukošienė (Kaunas Panemunė Social Care Home), Ms Rasa Kirkaitė (Lithuanian Zoo), Ms Giedrė Aukščiūnienė (Kaunas Archdiocesan Family Centre), Ms Edita Vitkauskienė and Ms Vita Kleizienė (Kaunas Prison), and Ms Indrė Jaugėlaitė, a graduate of the KUAS, together with her friend Jokūbas (Kaunas ‘Arka’ community).
The KUAS community was represented by Dr Ramunė Bagdonaitė-Stelmokienė, the Director; Prof. Dr Daiva Beržinskienė-Juozainienė, the Deputy Director for Academic Affairs; Ms Kristina Karosevičienė, the Head of the Centre for Economics and Business, and Mr Vytautas Kirka, the Head of the Centre for Social Welfare. They thanked the partners for their cooperation and discussed the past year, expressing their satisfaction that social partners not only hosted students for internships but also actively participated in the final bachelor theses evaluation commissions, the assessments of study fields, conferences and other events. During the breakfast, further cooperation opportunities for this year were also discussed.
We are grateful for the social partners’ time, cordial discussions and beautiful traditions, which allow us to cooperate, communicate and actively exchange knowledge and ideas.
