MEETING OF THE KUAS ACADEMIC COUNCIL

On 20 January 2023, the Academic Council of the KUAS convened for the meeting. The members discussed academic activities and events for the Autumn semester of 2022–2023 and plans for the Spring semester. Ms Kamilė Gudišauskienė, the Head of the Social Welfare Centre, and Assoc. Prof. Dr Rūta Meištė presented the reports of the centres under their supervision. The Academic Council members upvoted the two newly developed study programmes: Bookkeeping and Sustainable Business Management. Mr Danielius Adomaitis, the Head of the Transport Logistics Study Programme, discussed the guidelines for improving this programme.

The Director of the KUAS, Dr Ramunė Bagdonaitė-Stelmokienė, presented the valuation output for the quality of lecturers and teaching. She was pleased that the students were particularly optimistic about the quality of the lecturers’ teaching, a respectful learning environment, and the active involvement of students in applied science activities. During the meeting, the updated documents regulating studies at the KUAS were also approved, namely the Description of the Procedure for Crediting Partial Studies at the KUAS and the Description of the Procedure for Submitting and Processing Student Appeals Regarding Knowledge Assessment and Misuse of Procedure.
