A LONG TRADITION OF COOPERATION AT THE SOCIAL PARTNERS’ BREAKFAST!

On 6 January 2023, in continuation of a beautiful and long-standing tradition, the KUAS hosted the social partners’ breakfast to discuss relevant issues and acknowledge sincere cooperation.
In addition to sharing new experiences and challenges, the participants of the gathering also discussed in more detail their ongoing activities. The meeting was attended by Ms Giedrė Aukščiūnienė, the Deputy Director of Kaunas Archdiocesan Family Centre, Mr Giedrius Jonys, the Chief Social Worker of Kaunas Municipal Children’s Care Home, Mr Gintaras Bagdžiūnas, Acting Director and the Deputy Director for Social Work of Kaunas Municipal Children’s Care Home, Ms Sigita Šimkienė, a coordinator for inter-institutional cooperation of Kaunas Municipality Administration, Mr Darius Rauktys, a social worker of Kaunas Branch of the Republican Centre for Addictive Disorders, Ms Ilona Veronika Klimantavičienė, the Director of Kaunas House of Generations, Ms Violeta Lazarevičienė, an educator of the Lithuanian Zoo, Ms Regina Navickienė, the Director of UAB Mūsų Odisėja and Apple Economy Hotel, and Dr Nerijus Jurkonis, the Director of the VDU Botanical Garden.
Dr Ramunė Bagdonaitė-Stelmokienė, the Director of the KUAS, thanked everyone for coming to the informal and cosy meeting and welcomed the results of the institutional evaluation of the KUAS, as it considered the close cooperation with social partners. Regarding academic activities, Prof. Dr Daiva Beržinskienė-Juozainienė, the Deputy Director for Academic Affairs of the KUAS, acknowledged the outstanding cooperation and thanked the partners for their active participation in the international scientific-practical conferences organised by the KUAS. Dr Rūta Meištė, the Head of the Centre for Economics and Business of the KUAS, discussed the current situation of the Ecotourism study programme and the future expert evaluations of new study programmes. The demand for the Transport Logistics study programme was also appreciated, as the first graduates will graduate this year. We are pleased to confirm that the social partners have significantly contributed to this programme’s implementation. Ms Kamilė Gudišauskienė, the Head of the Social Welfare Centre of the KUAS, together with Ms Evelina Darulienė and Ms Rima Masionienė, coordinators of the Student Services Centre, actively participated in the discussions on contemporary issues.
We are grateful for the social partners’ time, cordial discussions and beautiful traditions, which allow us to cooperate and communicate and actively exchange knowledge and ideas.
