On 25th November 2021, Kolping University of Applied Sciences (KUAS) hosted the International Student Conference “Theory and Practice: Student Insights 2021”. This year, the conference was attended by 110 participants from different countries. It is also worth mentioning that this was the second remote conference because of the current situation in the world. Due to the changed conference format, participants were able to gain new skills and experience by working remotely.
The international student conference was opened by Vilma Sejonaitė and Edvinas Gurskas, members of KUAS Student Union. Welcoming remarks were made by: Lina Kalibataitė – National Secretary of the Kolping Society of Lithuania, Dr. Ramunė Bagdonaitė-Stelmokienė – Director of KUAS, Karolina Rašimaitė – President of KUAS Student Union.
Participants from the following higher education institutions: Kolping University of Applied Sciences, Utena College, Panevėžys College, Vytautas Magnus University, Kaunas University of Technology, University of Lodz (Poland), University of Ostrava (Czech Republic), Stavropol State Agrarian University (Russia), Gandhigram Rural Institute (India), shared their experiences and discussed current perspectives.
Students worked in five different groups divided according to the fields of study: social work, logistics, business, and tourism.
We welcome participants from different countries and hope to have even more active students next year.
Many thanks to all attendees of the conference for their participation!
