International Student Conference 2020 took place remotely
On 19 November 2020, Kolping University of Applied Sciences (KUAS) hosted the International Student Conference “Theory and Practice: Student Insights 2020”. This year, the conference was attended by 100 participants from seven different countries. It is also worth mentioning that this was the first such remote conference because of the current situation in the world. Due to the changed conference format, participants were able to gain new skills and experience by working remotely.
The international student conference was opened by Vilma Sejonaitė and Edvinas Gurskas, members of KUAS Student Union. Welcoming remarks were made by: Lina Kalibataitė – National Secretary of the Kolping Society of Lithuania, Dr. Ramunė Bagdonaitė-Stelmokienė – Director of KUAS, Karolina Rašimaitė – President of KUAS Student Union.
Participants from the following higher education institutions: Kolping University of Applied Sciences, Utena College, Panevėžys College, Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, Vytautas Magnus University, Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuanian Sports University, Pope John Paul II State School of Higher Education in Biała Podlaska (Poland), Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (Germany), Middle Medical School and Professional Medical School of Higher Education (Czech Republic), Russian State Social University (Russia), University of Ostrava Southern Federal University (Czech Republic), Trnava University ( Slovakia), Christian Academy (Latvia), shared their experiences and discussed current perspectives.

We welcome participants from different countries and hope to have even more active students next year.
