Remote lectures were given in cooperation with Stavropol State Agrarian University
Between 21 September – 02 October 2020, at Kolping University of Applied Sciences (KUAS), lectures were given for students of the Ecotourism program on the topic “Organization of Tourist Activities” by lecturer Dr. Anna Ivolga from Stavropol State Agrarian University, Russia.
The lectures emphasized agrotourism, as it is a new field in Lithuania. Agrotourism is a combination of agricultural production and rural tourism that gives people the opportunity to visit farms, experience rural life and contribute to the daily work on the farm. The teacher presented many local and international examples of rural and agrotourism development.
It is very unfortunate that the planned visit could not take place due to the COVID-19 situation, and the teacher’s lectures took place remotely with the students in the classroom watching the lecturer on screen, asking questions and discussing. It was a new but successful experience.
