An associate professor from Trnava University gave lectures for KUAS students

On 6-8 March 2018, some unconventional lectures took place in Kolping University of Applied Sciences (KUAS). The lectures for students of Social Work Management and Child Welfare programs were given by Dr. Katarina Levická, who came here under the Erasmus+ program. The associate professor gave lectures on topics such as “Professional Ethics in Social Work”, “Social Work Research”, “Social Work with Dementia Patients”.
Dr. Katarina Levická is an associate professor (docent) at the Faculty of Health and Social Work at Trnava University. The lecturer focuses on the ethics of social work, professional development of students, and the methodology of social work research, qualitative research in particular, and has given lectures in Slovak, Czech and Lithuanian universities.
KUAS students had the opportunity to get acquainted with the features of social work in Slovakia, to understand the importance of professional ethics in social work, and to acquire knowledge about the social work with dementia patients.
