Social campaign “Living Memory” brought together young people of Kaunas

On 27 October 2016, Kolping University of Applied Sciences (KUAS) together with the Lithuanian Kolping Society, in cooperation with the members of the project “Mission Siberia”, had organized a youth civic campaign “Living Memory”.
Aim of the campaign was to clean and tidy up the most neglected cemeteries of Kaunas city, and to foster understanding of the universal good, social responsibility and participation, spiritual care, civic mindedness and to promote the idea of “Good Work for Lithuania”.
Almost 100 participants of the event: KUAS students, Sargėnai St. Casimir Maironis followers, pupils of Kaunas Jonas and Petras Vileišis school – multifunctional centre, and scouts of Kaunas region, cleaned the neglected cemeteries of Freda and Aleksotas.
Tired, but smiling participants of the campaign received prizes and gratitude from the sponsors of the event.
