German Kolpingfest at the Kolping University of Applied Sciences

On Thursday, 20 October, for the first time in Lithuania, a German Language Day “Und how it is in German?” was held, during which events dedicated to the German language and culture took place across the country.

Kolping University of Applied Sciences (KUAS) contributed to this initiative by organizing the event “German Kolpingfest”, during which the KUAS community and anyone willing had the opportunity to become more familiar with the German language and culture.

At the beginning of the event, guests were invited to the “German Cinema”, where the 1997 internationally acclaimed film “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” by German director Thomas Jahn was presented.

Those who like interesting and cognitive/educational games could test themselves in the brain battle “Think like a true GERMAN”. 5 teams competed to be named the best connoisseurs of Germany.

At the end of the event, a presentation-lecture “Know Germany closer” was given to the participants, during which the discussion about the economic and geographical uniqueness of Germany took place, and the KUAS students presented their 3 videos on the subject “Stereotypes about Germany”.
