Kolping University of Applied Sciences community has celebrated the new academic year

On 1 September 2016, students, teachers and administrative staff of Kolping University of Applied Sciences (KUAS) took part in the opening of the new academic year celebration.
The celebration began with a solemn procession to Kaunas Cathedral Basilica of Apostles St. Peter and St. Paul where KUAS community together representatives of other institutions of higher education attended the Mass. Later the celebration moved to the KUAS conference hall, where the opening ceremony of the new academic year was held, which was opened by the director of KUAS, Dr. Aušra Fokienė. During the ceremony, the first-year students were congratulated by Student Union members, administrative staff and teachers of KUAS.
The celebration of the new academic year concluded with an emotional and charming concert by singers of sung poetry Matas and Dangiras, dedicated to the KUAS community and the residents of the city, and then the traditional sweet cake of KUAS.
On 2 September, there was an introductory day for the KUAS freshmen. During the event, the KUAS administration made presentations for the students, in which the procedure of studies, traditional events, opportunities to study abroad and other important information was presented to them. Coordinators of the study programs gave introductory lectures to the first-year students and presented the selected programs in more detail.
Events of the introductory day culminated in an exciting and fun tour of Kaunas Old Town “Old Town – the space of my studies”.
