THE KOLPING HEI REPRESENTATIVES PARTICIPATED IN THE NATIONAL FORUM OF APPLIED HIGHER EDUCATION

On 17 October 2025, the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania hosted the National Forum on Applied Higher Education to mark the 25th anniversary of the binary higher education system. It was attended by Vytautas Kirka, the Director of Kolping HEI, Kamilė Gudišauskienė, the Head of the Centre for Social Welfare, and Miglė Krečetienė, the Coordinator of the Experiential Learning Centre. The event highlighted the importance of higher education institutions in the country’s higher education ecosystem, discussed the value they bring to regions, and outlined the prospects for the sector’s development. The event concluded with presentations by higher education institutions showcasing the results of applied research and experimental development (R&D) and reflecting their contributions to regional and national progress.
