THE KOLPING HEI REPRESENTATIVES’ VISIT TO ITALY

As part of the Erasmus+ KA121-ADU project, the representatives of the Experiential Learning Centre of the Kolping HEI, Dr Ramunė Bagdonaitė-Stelmokienė, Jurgita Dambrauskienė, Juozas Stočkus and Renata Butkutė, engaged in a collaborative visit to the Italian organisation Kolping Südtirol on 22–26 May 2025. This visit, a part of the International Kolping Network, provided them with valuable insights into the organisation’s extensive experience in working with older people, focusing on lifelong adult education and active ageing. By actively participating in discussions and observing activities, mobility participants gained practical knowledge on combating loneliness among older people through the creation of learning communities. This involved promoting the active participation of elders in communities by involving them in volunteering alongside young people, among other initiatives. The visit also sparked discussions on opportunities for further cooperation, highlighting the potential for future collaborative projects.
