WHAT IS SOCIAL BUSINESS?

Social business was defined by Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Bangladeshi economist and social activist Muhammad Yunus. The main idea of such business is to achieve the social objective of resolving a specific social problem. Driving force of the social business are innovative methods, philanthropic nature, absolute sacrifice without concern for financial gain. This is a completely different business model compared to the capitalist free market. Constant rivalry, competition and reckless pursuit of profit become redundant because contribution to the society by investing all the generated profits into the sustention and expansion of business retention is considered to be the essence of social business.

WHO CAN CHOOSE SOCIAL BUSINESS?

If You care about our society and its well-being, if common problems of humankind motivate you to take action, then social business studies is Your vocation! Such businesses can be started by individuals who base their life decisions on core values, who fight for a better world without poverty, social exclusion, who support spread of renewable energy, promote principles of sustainable economy. Requirements for social business representative are very down to earth, but in today’s society are feasible certainly not for everyone – it’s dedication, empathy, desire to give rather than take. Only the society inspired by social consciousness will be able to achieve its objectives and preserve our planet for future generations.
