On 16\u00a0March\u00a02023, the KUAS, the activity of which is based on principles of sustainable development, integral ecology and corporate social responsibility, organised a remote, international scientific-practical conference, \u201cChallenges and Perspectives of Sustainable Development\u201d.<\/strong> The objective of the conference was to gather researchers, scientists and practitioners to discuss the challenges and perspectives of sustainable development, present the results of research relevant for the topic of the conference, and search for insights, experiences and new ideas.<\/p>\n

During the opening of the conference, the introductory speech was given by Lina Kalibatait\u0117, the National Secretary of the Lithuanian Kolping Society and Fund, and Dr\u00a0Ramun\u0117 Bagdonait\u0117-Stelmokien\u0117, the Director of the KUAS. The participants were also welcomed, and their active participation was praised by Assoc.\u00a0Prof.\u00a0Dr\u00a0R\u016bta Mei\u0161t\u0117, the Head of the Economics and Business Centre of the KUAS, who also moderated the conference.<\/p>\n

More than 100 participants took part in the conference. As many as 29 speakers from Lithuania and abroad shared their insights and experiences in the plenary session and three more working sections:<\/p>\n

  1. Problems and Solutions of Sustainable Development (moderator: Prof. Dr Daiva Ber\u017einskien\u0117-Juozainien\u0117, the Deputy Director for Academic Matters of the KUAS);<\/li>\n
  2. Challenges in Developing a Sustainable Community (moderator: Assoc.\u00a0Prof.\u00a0Dr\u00a0R\u016bta Mei\u0161t\u0117, the Head of Economics and Business Centre of KUAS); and<\/li>\n
  3. High-Quality Education (moderator: Inga Bagdanov\u0117, the Coordinator of Experience Training Centre of the KUAS).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    We are happy about interesting and relevant reports and valuable scientific insights. We thank the group moderators for their excellent work and the conference participants for their active participation.<\/p>\n

    Articles based on the conference presentations are pending publication in the issue \u201cChallenges and Corporate Social Responsibility\u201d, peer-reviewed by the KUAS and indexed in the EBSCOhost database.
