On 9-12 September 2021, Lithuanian Kolping Society organised the third project \u201cSmart Development\u201d meeting of international partners (Germany, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Serbia, Lithuania). Lithuanian Kolping Society was represented by Lina Kalibatait\u0117, the national secretary of the Society, Ms Jurgita Dambrauskien\u0117, rapporteur of Education, and lecturer Gintar\u0117 Mil\u010d\u0117. The topic discussed during the meeting was \u201cEffective Educational Tools Ensuring Sustainable Adult Education\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the first day (September 9), the official opening ceremony took place, during which the national secretary Lina Kalibatait\u0117 presented, in detail, the activity of Lithuanian Kolping Society and its projects. Moreover, Dr. Ramun\u0117 Bagdonait\u0117 \u2013 Stelmokien\u0117, the director of KUAS, presented KUAS study programmes and values that are the basis of University\u2019s work. The second day (September 10) was dedicated to the theoretical knowledge and practical skills, therefore, on the first half of the day, the participants attended the lecture on \u201cCommunality – a Solution for Global Issues\u201d by lecturer Ms\u00a0Skaisgiryt\u0117 and completed the practical tasks. The second half of the day was dedicated to the trip to \u017dieg\u017edriai Geological Trail with a nature guide Mr\u00a0Daubaras. During the trip, the participants received more knowledge on the ways they can contribute to the improvement of ecological life and increase the protection of the environment.<\/p>\n

The third day (September 11) was dedicated to the viewing of the film \u201cThe Ancient Woods\u201d (lit. Sengir\u0117<\/em>) and the group discussion moderated by lecturer Ms\u00a0Urbait\u0117 \u2013 B\u016bdelien\u0117. The participants were actively discussing the problems of deforestation and the possible ways of preserving the forests. During the second half of the day, the participants went to Dubrava Reserve Area together with nature guide Mr\u00a0B\u016bdelis, where they further analysed ecological problems.<\/p>\n
